Who you are
- A track record of creatively scoping ambiguous problems with the ability to generate strong hypotheses when faced with ambiguity – can be national security or general private sector experience
- Strong ability to conceptualize novel AI agent applications and being able to clearly explain your designs and prototypes
- Deep and current knowledge of AI capabilities and emerging trends
- Technical aptitude to prototype and rapidly validate AI agent systems
- Bias towards achieving outcomes, including willingness to step outside your immediate role to ensure mission success
- Ability to work autonomously and set your own goals
- Ability to learn quickly
- Grit and creativity to keep going when faced with a roadblock
- Active TS / SCI Clearance is a plus but not needed
What the job involves
- The Agents Product Strategist will build and shape the future of AI agent technology in the military
- You will work on our most ambitious product and customer deployments, directly focusing on conceptualizing and rapidly prototyping AI agents to solve real-world mission problems
- You will forward deploy alongside military users to deeply understand mission-critical challenges, and partner with engineering to build and scale innovative agent-based solutions
- AI is evolving rapidly, making it essential that you are not only informed about the latest technologies, but also understand emerging trends and proactively imagine innovative applications aligned with future advancements
- Build and shape the future of AI agent technology in the military
- Identify important mission problems with users that we can solve with AI agents. You will continuously adjust your hypotheses based on new information
- Solve these problems and generate meaningful mission outcomes. This involves embedding with the user groups, becoming a domain expert on the mission problem, and using your creativity, our current products, and sometimes developing new products with the engineering team
- Develop a thesis for a broader program that extends the work you do to other groups and develop a compelling mission pitch that ties to the program, including compelling demos
- Help our business development team win program deals by partnering with them, traveling to customers, and getting those customers irrationally excited about the mission impact we can have

Vannevar Labs’ innovative foreign text platform, delivers solutions to some of today’s most important national security problems.
The company’s workflow platform Decrypt, uses machine learning and automation to understand, target, and respond to foreign actors in ways not previously possible. The platform is a proven success, driving Vannevar’s growth and attracting a $40M OTA contract with the Department of Defense.
Yielding impressive traction so far, the company is using its latest Series B funding round to invest in new product development. Vannevar Labs is also aiming to win its first multi-year program from Decrypt. Should it be successful, the level of guaranteed sales and revenue would be a turning point in the company’s long-term trajectory.
