Who you are

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Partnerships Officer to join our Recruitment Partnerships team
- Join Anthony Nolan as a Partnerships Officer and play a vital role in the development and stewardship of our incredible network of recruitment partners
- You'll manage early-stage partnerships, help identify and build our new partner pipeline and work collaboratively to support long-standing partners helping them to educate, engage and recruit new potential stem cell donors
- Act as the main point of contact for recruitment partnership enquiries, identifying opportunities to increase quality recruitment and engage our target audiences
- Lead on the account management of early-stage partnerships, supporting them to identify and maximise opportunities to reach and recruit potential stem cell donors
- Work with the New Business Manager to develop the new partner pipeline, such as through research and outreach into target sectors
- Support the Senior Partnerships Manager to plan and deliver excellent stewardship of Anthony Nolan’s largest recruitment partners
- Support in the development and delivery of the Anthony Nolan partnerships Grant Programme
- Take a lead on developing recruitment resources in collaboration with our partners to aid their ongoing activity
- Support with the administration of the partnerships programme, identifying and driving opportunities for process improvements
- Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Our take
Founded in 1974 to find bone marrow donors for people suffering with blood cancer, Anthony Nolan is today one of Britain's largest recruiters of stem cell donors, along with DKMS, the Welsh Blood Service and NHS Blood and Transplant. As only one in four people with blood cancer will find a compatible donor in their family, Anthony Nolan's work saves over 1000 lives a year worldwide.
Aside from recruiting donors, Anthony Nolan conducts research through the Anthony Nolan Research Institute, with its findings reducing post-transplant complications and increasing quality of life for patients. It also maintains the UK's first dedicated cord blood bank which allows new mothers to donate their umbilical cords for research.
While there have been huge advances in treating blood cancer since Anthony Nolan was founded, there is today a major shortfall in donors, driven by a steep decline fron 2019 onwards. Anthony Nolan is heavily engaged in raising awareness of this issue, using major public events such as the London Marathon, where its team of volunteers will run to raise money and remind people of their vital work in this area.
