Mission Software Engineer, Anduril Industries

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Robotics
• High ownership and autonomy across the end-to-end lifecycle of software development
• At least 3+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Rust, Go, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc
• 2+ years of experience building scalable infrastructure and building scalable backend software systems with various data storage and processing requirements
• Experience building test automation and integrating simulations of various levels of fidelities into a test platform
• Experience implementing robot or autonomous vehicle testing frameworks in simulation, a software-in-the-loop (SITL), and / or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) environment
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
• Eligible to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance

Desirable

• Anduril’s Land Systems team develops software for land-based manned and robotic ground systems, leveraging Anduril’s software infrastructure
• The team is responsible for taking crewed and uncrewed ground robots from paper sketches to operational systems
• We are looking for software engineers excited about fielding the next generation of software-defined ground combat systems
• The software engineers will leverage technologies and tools including cloud computing, distributed simulation, and emerging digital engineering capabilities to enable the deployment, operation, and fleet management of autonomous systems
• We are hiring a software engineer to design and build simulation, automation test infrastructure and environments for uncrewed ground systems
• Work with a diverse team of systems engineers and software engineers to define and build a software-first integration and test environment for uncrewed ground combat systems
• Build and integrate model-, software-, and hardware-in-the-loop components by leveraging first and third party technologies related to simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, networking, and more
• Advance our platform emulators, simulators and associated tools & infrastructure to scale and upgrade uncrewed systems faster
• Develop test automation frameworks: resource management and scheduling infrastructure, dashboard, user and admin utilities
• Collaborate with team members and partners in the autonomy domain to build technologies and processes which enable users to safely and rapidly develop, deploy, and upgrade autonomous systems at scale
