Who you are

5–10+ years of experience in finance or strategy roles, ideally with prior leadership experience at a fast-scaling SaaS company (Series A to C)
Demonstrated success in leading fundraising rounds and investor relations, with a deep understanding of VC expectations and SaaS KPIs
Strong command of financial modeling, SaaS unit economics, and international finance operations
Experience building scalable finance processes and systems in a high-growth environment
Entrepreneurial mindset: high ownership, adaptability, and a bias toward action
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex data into investor-ready insights
Based in or willing to relocate to Boston, with the ability to work onsite 4 days a week and travel domestically/internationally for investor meetings and events

What the job involves

Topsort is looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial, and experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy as we scale globally and gear up for future Series of fundraising rounds
This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the capital strategy, steer our financial planning, and help drive the operational efficiency needed to grow a SaaS company at speed
Lead fundraising efforts end-to-end, including investor relations, capital strategy, data room management, and preparation of pitch materials in coordination with our CEO and legal advisors
Develop financial narratives and models that clearly communicate Topsort’s growth story and SaaS metrics to current and prospective investors
Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and sales to align financial plans with go-to-market strategy and revenue goals
Scale our financial operations and systems to support rapid international growth, improving processes around reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Manage FP&A, including scenario modeling, gross burn forecasting, and resource allocation aligned with company OKRs
Oversee cash flow, collections, and billing operations, ensuring a strong grip on runway and capital deployment
Implement and optimize tools for headcount planning, payroll, and equity management across US and international entities
Serve as the point person for board-level financial reporting, preparing materials that align with both investor expectations and business priorities
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on financial and operational decision-making

Our take

With the likes of Meta, Amazon, and Google hosting the majority of ad campaigns, contemporary strategies can become overly complicated and lacking in owner control. Topsort has created a simple and customizable API through which users can create advertising elements like sponsored listings, banner and video ads, and control how they’re shown to potential customers.

Where the platform stands out is in its transparency and privacy-first approach - delivering a direct replacement of the “cookie” system usually used in sponsored ads. Topsort’s “clean room” is an encrypted technology that has zero-visibility into privacy data, ensuring anonymity for those being analysed.

This exciting new approach to media marketing analysis and campaign planning has turned investors' heads, at a time when data privacy is a hot topic. Topsort has enjoyed an impressive $21M in funding to date, which will it is using to scale and accelerate its growth.
