Role
Who you are
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- At least three years of support experience in the technology industry
- Experience with hardware and software development life-cycle
- Experience with Linux and its basic tools like Bash, ssh, Network Manager, etc
- Able to work under pressure, as well as in challenging environments, while keeping a positive attitude towards our clients
- Able to find creative approaches and fresh perspectives where tasks can be undefined and unstructured
- High proficiency in spoken and written English, ability to communicate effectively
- Good problem-solving skills
- Experience in the robotic industry
- Experience with ROS, Docker, Grafana
- Experience with Python and C++
- Experience analyzing Linux Log files (journald, syslog)
- Nice to have: Experience working with drones, A2 Pilot License
- German language skills, as well as any other language, are an advantage
What the job involves
- You would be joining a growing team of 4 colleagues and over 50 robots that are spread all around the globe
- Working on the frontline with our customers and the product engineering team to ensure the successful (remote) deployment of the robots and our software solution, potentially at the customer's facilities
- Handling issues while following up with product team in a timely manner and actively communicating the status to the customers
- Documenting and tracking the incidents to assure high quality standards as well as developing internal and external guidelines and tutorials
- Collaborating in cross functional teams for product and process improvements
- Working with sales on demos of our solutions at our test site and the customer site
- Following up with management and colleagues on identified key issues to continue our success
- Provisioning robots for deployment, including preparing and configuring hardware and software to meet customer-specific requirements

The robotic revolution is well underway, transforming what many people still regard as visions of a distant future into hard reality; and, although the thought of robots replacing humans in the workplace is generally held in poor regard, the opportunity to remove humans from high-risk, hazardous roles is a good one. Energy Robotics supplies software for robots so that monitoring and inspection can be done remotely, for industries with harsh and demanding environments.
Energy Robotics’ platform is one of the first commercially available platforms of its kind, combining a hardware-independent robot OS, cloud-based fleet management, and AI-powered data analysis, to enable robots to be used for remote inspection and monitoring roles in industries such as oil, gas, and petrochemical. The hardware agnostic nature of the company’s software allows it to offer its own solutions alongside a range of third-party hardware, standing out from competitors with this “make robots smart” approach, as opposed to making smart robots.
Energy Robotics has received considerable funding from a range of sources, which the company will use to further develop its solution, and to expand its product portfolio towards providing a robot-as-a-service offering.
