Who you are
- Requirement for a high level of professionalism, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex business challenges

- 6+ years of leadership experience, including leading a People function
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Proven experience in a strategic operational leadership role
- A degree or Masters level HR qualification of CIPD equivalent, or consummate experience
- The ability to disagree and commit, while challenging respectfully
- A strong sense of ethics, confidentiality and commercial instinct is essential for this role
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Director of People & Culture [12 month maternity cover] to develop and execute business strategies focused on talent management, organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and employee engagement
- This role will work closely with the SVP International and Leadership Team to contribute to the company's growth and success
- As a natural culture steward, you will partner with internal stakeholders to integrate Ziff Davis’ culture into the employee experience
- Developing and driving the UK People attraction, development and retention strategy
- Collaborating with the SVP International and Leadership Team to define, develop and coordinate the company’s overarching long-term vision, goals, and initiatives
- Creating and deploying innovative initiatives to maintain and cultivate company culture inline with our values
- Developing and rolling out DEI, L&D and Sustainability initiatives
- Overseeing the company's talent management, leadership development and succession planning
- Championing a positive and high-performance culture throughout the organisation
- Empowering UK People Leaders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to develop their teams and deliver on strategic goals
- Work closely with department heads to streamline processes, implement best practices and drive operational excellence
- Providing advice on a range of Employee Relation issues, UK legislation and GDPR best practice, ensuring we remain compliant at all times
- Overseeing the smooth running and maintaining of the office and facilities including all health and safety aspects
- Managing UK headcount budget and forecasting working closely with the Finance team
- Overseeing and executing our annual performance review and pay adjustment processes
- Collaborating with the global People Team to facilitate communication across all business units, rolling out global initiatives and adapting them locally where necessary, ensuring that UK priorities are at the forefront of decision making
