Who you are
- Proven backend development experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficient in server-side languages Node.js using Express / NestJS Experience with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Working knowledge of Docker and familiarity with continuous integration
- Experience with AWS
- Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
What the job involves
- As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our advanced platform
- You will be tasked with building robust and scalable backend systems, contributing to our product's overall performance and reliability
- You will work closely with a talented team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with our strategic goal
- Design and implement efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code
- Work with other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Build and maintain scalable and high-performing systems and infrastructure
- Participate in code reviews and enhance the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with product teams to define and implement new features and functionality
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Web 3.0 is becoming more and more popular, so there's a requirement for certain features from Web 2.0 to be developed for this new space. EtherMail is a company redefining email for Web 3.0, to allow this cornerstone of internet communication to be brought over to the next generation of the web.
According to the company, Web 3.0 users are finding classic email inadequate for their uses, with a lack of privacy and problems integrating it with dApps. With EtherMail, users get fully anonymous and encrypted P2P communication, as well as rewards for reading relevant content in their inbox. Meanwhile, companies using EtherMail can send content directly to the right people through blockchain-synced mailing lists that auto-add their token holders.
In moving to set the standard for wallet-to-wallet communication, EtherMail has generated massive amounts of interest. It has raised significant investment that will drive recruitment and ongoing market expansion, as well as accelerate the roll-out of its platform. In addition to this, EtherMail is looking to add innovative functionalities to the EtherMail sidebar following the much-anticipated release of "Applets", its Web 3.0 plug-ins toolbox.
