- The Robinhood Legal team plays a central role in guiding the company through complex regulatory environments, managing legal risk, and advising business leaders on key decisions
- The team works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure compliance and foster trust with users, regulators, and partners alike
- The Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Product and Privacy team mission is to ensure that the legal risk surrounding these subject matters is accurately identified, analyzed, communicated and mitigated
- As a Legal Intern, you will support our legal team on a wide range of topics—from regulatory research and legal analysis to assisting with internal process improvements
- You’ll gain exposure to areas such as securities law, broker-dealer operations, and fintech regulations
- Learn about and work on corporate-related matters including privacy and data protection matters, employment matters, corporate transactional matters, and public company reporting and compliance
- Learn about and work on financial services regulatory-related matters, including assignments to apply relevant legal requirements to current or planned financial products and services
- Conduct legal research and write memoranda regarding financial services regulations and how they apply to new products and services
- Assist with special projects and initiatives, as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams as they create, design and launch new products and services for Robinhood customers
- Learn how to work within a corporate legal department and how it interacts with various business lines, the compliance function, and other key stakeholders in the organization
