Who you are

  • 7+ years of direct HRBP experience or in equivalent HR roles
  • At least 3+ years experience supporting scaling GTM teams
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup, scaleup, or similar environment
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
  • Experience supporting scaling GTM teams
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail; superior organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to synthesize complex situations into a digestible format for business leaders and their teams
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and manage up through relationship building
  • Significant experience working with line managers to coach them through performance management considerations
  • Successful facilitation of performance calibration exercises
  • Experience addressing concerns and resolving workplace conflicts through effective communication, mediation, and conflict management techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong internal working relationships
  • The ability to work with highly confidential & sensitive information, and handle it with discretion

What the job involves

  • You will be responsible for partnering with multiple levels of leadership to develop, influence, and execute HR strategies and programs
  • This individual will understand the company and GTM priorities, and act as a liaison between teams while assessing people's needs in areas such as leadership and career development, performance management, and employee relations
  • In this position, you will support the GTM side of the business, including Client Services, Business Development, Rev Ops, Marketing, & Finance teams, while working with internal General Counsel and the People team
  • Advise, coach, and influence management on all things people-related, including performance management, learning and development, coaching, career pathing, employee relations, succession planning, compensation, organizational development and scaling, culture, and employee engagement
  • Build and foster trusting partnerships with dedicated internal clients, acting as a single point of contact, coach, and confidant to senior leaders, people managers, and employees across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Partner with employees and managers to address non-routine work issues, offering actionable solutions to improve performance, mitigate risks, and maintain a productive and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with leaders to align people strategies with business goals, supporting organizational design and talent initiatives that enable scalable growth
  • Analyze trends and metrics within the people team to help inform our people strategy
  • Take a data-driven approach to deliver our ambitious people agenda and to support our growth strategy
  • Serve as a strategic partner for the People Operations Team

Our take

Applecart uses publicly available data, both online and offline, to create a map of real-world interpersonal relationships. Allowing clients to run more effective advertising and marketing campaigns by leveraging social influence, or word of mouth, which Applecart believes is the most powerful motivator.

Initially focused on political campaigns, Applecart worked to increase voter engagement and turnout. However, in recent years, it has expanded into commercial work, partnering with organizations such as Boeing and nonprofits like The Business Roundtable.

A key backer of Applecart is Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, a global entertainment and media agency that owns the UFC. While its unclear if the UFC is currently a client, Emanuel's involvement signals the high-profile clients Applecart is now attracting.
