Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques, as well as expertise in cloud platforms and DevOps tools
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, with a strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, ECS, Glue, and EMR
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its various services
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with tools like GitHub, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Packer, and CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks like Databricks and PySpark
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Bash Shell scripting
- Solid understanding of Unix and Linux-based systems, particularly RedHat and CentOS
- Experience working with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Hadoop and Spark
What the job involves
- As a Data Scientist, you will play a vital role in analyzing large datasets, developing data models, and extracting actionable insights to drive data-driven decision-making
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop and implement data pipelines and ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
- Utilize cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and manage scalable data infrastructure
- Implement DevOps practices, including version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment using tools like GitHub, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Packer, and CI/CD pipelines
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud resources
