Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
- 2-4 years of professional business analysis experience, with strong relationship management, account management, and support experience
- Experience working with external clients
- Sufficient technical knowledge to support the translation of business requirements into technical requirements
- Experience working with Agile process management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Understanding of current technologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to obtain, understand and respond strategically to client needs
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible to new situations and challenges
- Occasional travel is required
Desirable
- Experience working in the consulting industry
- Understanding of complex enterprise level applications
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and iterative development methodologies
- Knowledge of Data Science and Data Engineering a plus
What the job involves
- Work with clients to plan, manage, and execute on custom software development products. You will work closely with our clients as well as our internal teams to help build intuitive and stunning web-based visualizations centered on integrating data to improve resiliency
- This is a technical position with accountability for project quality that requires the ability to motivate and mentor project team members
- Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, JIRA ticket creation and some user acceptance testing
- On a daily basis, you will work closely with the client, project managers, data scientists, UX leads, and data engineering and development teams to create, prioritize and groom different backlogs, run scrum rituals and optimize team velocities
- Function as subject matter expert in guiding collection of complete and accurate business requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, data architect and UX lead to develop documentation that is clearly defined for data engineering, development and QA teams (i.e. user stories and tasks with acceptance criteria supported by wireframes, functional specifications, test plans, etc.)
- Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
- Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Lead scrum to manage the product/project backlog and bi-weekly sprints
