Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in Consulting, or Analytics at a consumer company
- Customer Experience, Operations or Supply Chain analytics experience is preferred
- Expert-level analytical skills and a proven track record of using data to drive customer-facing impact and business results
- Experience working with email & SMS automation
- Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of relational databases and how to leverage a wide-variety of data structures to drive insights and power customer-facing communications
- Bonus points for solid understanding of HTML, Java-based templating languages (Jinja, Django, ESP-specific, etc.), and a high-level understanding of JSON
- Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of working with data to drive email campaign ideation and business results
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements for Data Science, Data Engineering and Analytics functions
- You are able to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, naturally curious and proactive self-starter, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and solutions
- You’re an owner, have excellent problem-solving skills and can prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an experienced Sr Analyst I to work holistically across lifecycle communication channels, site experience, and the in box (physical) experience to deliver on our mission to transform unconditional love into uncomplicated care
- You’ll be responsible for synthesizing a wide-variety of data sources to identify opportunities to improve our customers’ experiences
- You’ll have the opportunity to take the foundation we have in place today and evolve it effectively with the business to ensure we continue to design seamless and deeply personalized experiences
- In the role, you’ll partner closely with teams across the business (Acquisition, Brand, Product & Engineering, CX, Operations, Data Strategy & Insights, etc.) to build a best-in-class customer lifecycle
- You’ll have the opportunity to work on everything from partnering with Product & Engineering, Ops, Manufacturing and Customer Experience to design sophisticated, longitudinal experiments to developing our strategy for how we communicate new products to our most loyal customers
- This is an opportunity to take ownership of an area in the company that is ready for innovation in measurement strategy and analytics
- You’ll have real ownership over improving our customers’ lives (and the lives of their four-legged companions!), while making a foundational impact on our growth efforts
- Contribute to our Analytics function for Ops, Manufacturing and Customer Experience data infrastructure needs, reporting and analytics needs with focus on improving customer retention, product adoption, and revenue generation
- Develop context, establish goals, make clear prioritization decisions and communicate to the stakeholders on progress towards analytical goals
- Assist in building best practices and frameworks for Experimentation design and analysis for Customer Experience, Operations and Fulfillment
- Strike the balance between maintaining high standards of analytical work and delivering value consistently
- Work cross-functionally to upgrade and optimize our reporting frameworks, launch impactful longitudinal experiments, and measure initiatives' impact on cohort retention and revenue generation
- Dive deep in our data to uncover insights that allow us methodically remove friction from the experience across key customer segments
- Partner closely with our Customer Experience (CX) team to understand and eliminate key customer points, thereby improving both the customer and agent experience

Pet food production in the US is held to alarmingly low safety and quality standards despite being a $99 billion industry, which is hidden behind loose labeling and marketing regulations. When one of the founders of The Farmer's Dog realised that dog food was making his dog sick, they decided that dogs shouldn't be fed anything that wouldn't pass legal requirements for humans.
The Farmer’s Dog produces customised dog food packages that are sent as a regular subscription service. Recipes behind the dog food are personalised and are comprised of natural and high-quality ingredients, aiming to meet the dietary requirements of each individual dog. As the dog food is human-grade, the company even taste-tests its recipes on humans.
The startup sends millions of meals every month and boasts a continual subscription rate of almost 50%. It has raised $50 million in funding to date and is developing new pet food products and scaling to offer its subscription service outside of the US.
