Role
Who you are
- 1-2 years of experience in a graphic design role, ideally within the luxury wellness, beauty, or fashion sectors
- A portfolio showcasing creative designs across print, digital design, animation/motion graphics
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
- Experience in Photoshop-based image retouching
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) with animation/motion graphic skills (e.g., After Effects)
- Experience designing and preparing artwork for print
- A keen eye for design detail and consistency, with the ability to interpret feedback and adapt designs accordingly
- Strong sense of typography, good foundation of composition and layout rules
- A positive, can-do attitude, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and creative thinking
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design rationale effectively
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs remain on-brand
- A passion for keeping up with design trends and cultural shifts, interpreting these into forward-thinking creative ideas
- Organisational skills with a focus on maintaining a well-structured archive of design assets and content
- An interest in and understanding of the luxury beauty and wellness consumer market
What the job involves
- As part of Lumity’s supportive marketing team, the Junior Designer will work closely with the Design Lead, in collaboration with the wider Brand team and the Head of Creative Communications. This position is ideal for a talented, detail-oriented graphic designer looking to expand their skill set, especially within brand-centric graphic design, video editing and animation.
- You’ll play a key role in producing engaging, on-brand creative that captivates and educates our audience across a range of touchpoints, including our website, social media, packaging, print, and CRM channels. You’ll be proactive, consistently presenting creative ideas and suggestions to ensure Lumity’s designs remain innovative and relevant in the beauty and wellness space.
- Collaborate with the Design Lead and wider Brand team to deliver on-brand designs across digital and print mediums, ensuring all creative aligns with Lumity’s visual identity
- Assist in creating dynamic visual assets for our website, social media, packaging, print, and email marketing
- Ensure all design outputs meet the brand’s high standards, seeking final approval from the Head of Creative Communications
- Support the development and evolution of Lumity’s brand guidelines, ensuring they remain fresh and reflect current design trends
- Take responsibility for all design assets, ensuring an organised and accessible content library & archive
- Proactively contribute new ideas and creative solutions during team brainstorming sessions
- Independently & proactively manage feedback and communicate design concepts clearly to key stakeholders
