What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to cover maternity leave during a key period for our company as we transition to a new office near London Bridge
- As an integral part of our People Team, the Office Manager will focus on maintaining and enhancing the efficiency and functionality of our office space, while also assisting with various administrative tasks and facilitating HR initiatives across MANUAL globally
- This role is crucial to ensure smooth daily operations and to manage the logistics and setup of our new office space
- You will work closely with our CEO & Co-Founder, VP Finance and members of the People Team
- Ensure a welcoming, clean and well-organised office environment by overseeing supplies, equipment maintenance and continuous improvement to enhance our workspace for all our team members
- Manage the logistics of moving into our new office space, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition
- Take full ownership of office-related tasks such as room bookings, greeting visitors, managing deliveries, and maintaining an efficient front of house
- Collaborate with our social and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) and Social Committee to support various social and awareness events, including PRIDE month, Black History month, International Women's Day, Mental Health Awareness week, monthly socials and holiday parties, fostering a positive and inclusive company culture
- Ensure the London HQ complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all employees
- Work with the Head of Risk and Compliance to manage health & safety monitoring
- Manage the office budget, prioritising spending based on the company’s business goals
- Monitor expenses related to office supplies, events, and maintenance to ensure financial efficiency
- Create and manage internal communications related to office administration, employee engagement, and company-wide initiative
- Act as the point of contact for all office-related enquiries from employees across the organisation
- Proactive approach with a willingness to take initiative
- This is an office-based role 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) on site from 8:30am - 5pm

MANUAL is a digital healthcare clinic supporting patients with life-changing conditions such as hormonal imbalance, obesity, menopause and hair loss across the UK and Brazil. It does this with a blend of doctor-specialist services, prescription medication backed by science, and digital products informed by behavioural change.
Manual works to remove the stigma around health problems such as obesity, hormone imbalances and menopause through teleconsultations, testing, regular check-ins and a range of tools, supplements and medications to treat commmon issues like poor sleep, hair loss, erectile dysfunction and skin conditions. Originally focused solely on men's health, the service led a shift in attitudes among its customers, with about half the men using the service to treat more than one condition, indicating that they're not just seeking help for the worst health issue that they're experiencing. Since, then it has opened its services to all genders with a hope to sift attitudes on a wider variety of health issues.
Manual has raised an impressive amount of capital, most recently in 2024. This funding is being used to expand its reach and enhance its services, particularly focussing on treatments for hormonal imbalance, obesity, and hair loss.
