What the job involves
- As a Sales Manager at Slang.ai, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. You will execute the sales strategy with a team of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives.
- Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be integral to our rapid growth phase.
- You will work within the Sales department, engaging with various internal teams, such as Product and Customer Experience, to ensure a cohesive customer journey.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer facing meetings, attending conferences or company offsite meetings
- Coaching and Development: Provide hands-on coaching to refine prospecting, discovery, demo, and closing skills. Support professional growth through regular feedback and individualized development plans
- Performance Accountability: Monitor team performance against KPIs and quotas, holding the team accountable for achieving their goals. Deliver actionable insights and support to ensure consistent execution and improvement
- Pipeline Execution: Regularly review and manage the team’s sales pipelines, ensuring that opportunities are, progressing efficiently, and resulting in predictable deal closures
- Deal Support and Guidance: Actively participate in deal cycles by offering tactical support, removing roadblocks, and providing deal coaching to execute the sales process to close key opportunities
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Marketing, Onboarding, and Account Management teams to ensure smooth lead handoffs, effective onboarding, and continued customer success and expansion
- CRM and Reporting Discipline: Ensure accurate and timely CRM updates from the team, using the data to track performance, forecast outcomes, and identify areas for improvement in execution

The frustration surrounding calling businesses is a universal sentiment. Nobody enjoys long hold times when chasing down an order, or voicemail when trying to make a late reservation at a restaurant. However, through the power of AI, the broken calling experience can be repaired.
Slang is a platform designed to tackle this problem head-on, by automatically answering calls for restaurants, retailers, and other businesses. It is capable of delivering accurate responses which enhance customer service - ultimately boosting revenue - while also streamlining operations.
Emerging from stealth mode in 2023, Slang landed early funding which gave it some great momentum. It has worked to integrate its product with reservation management platforms while unveiling a host of advanced functionalities. A further injection of funding in 2026 supports the broadening of its service capacity as it aims to help more businesses eliminate missed calls.
