What the job involves

  • We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the development of our production planning, scheduling, orchestration, and execution systems
  • In this role, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of mission-critical systems that will help us scale our supply chain efficiently and meet customer demand
  • You will collaborate closely with our design, manufacturing, and sales & operations planning (S&OP) teams to deliver solutions that streamline workflows, improve visibility, improve On Time Delivery (OTD) and enhance production performance
  • Product development at Dandy is an extremely collaborative effort, with multiple teams composed of UX, Engineering, and Product Management empowered to solve the most important problems for the business at large
  • Define the vision and strategy for our MES, production planning, and scheduling systems to support efficient design and manufacturing operations at scale
  • Champion operational users by developing deep empathy for their workflows and pain points and ensuring the solutions meet their needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, S&OP, and sales teams, to ensure seamless integration between planning and production execution
  • Drive end-to-end product development, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and subsequent iterations
  • Develop deep expertise in manufacturing workflows, production orchestration, and planning processes, ensuring solutions reflect best practices and emerging trends in the industry
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define detailed product requirements, working side-by-side with them to deliver high-quality, scalable software
  • Leverage data insights to guide decision-making, validate assumptions, and measure the success of your initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy and prioritization of opportunities
  • Communicate clearly and transparently with your teams and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of context, goals, and progress

Our take

Dentistry, a $400B industry, has long relied on outdated practices. Dandy was created to modernize and simplify dental operations by integrating technology into every aspect of the dental practice. Its goal is to streamline workflows, making dental practices more efficient and easier to manage.

While other startups have tried to bring technology to the dental field, Dandy distinguishes itself by understanding the industry's complexity and respecting the way dentists operate. Rather than overwhelming practitioners with a complete overhaul, Dandy introduces new features gradually, such as digitizing dental labs for procedures like crowns and implants. It makes the dental experience seamless for both sides of the chair, and to date, more than 2 million people use a Dandy dental product daily.

Dandy aims to build a full operating system for dental practices, offering a "business-in-a-box" solution that allows dentists to focus on patient care while the platform handles administrative and operational tasks. While this vision has the potential to bring immense value to a field in need of innovation, the challenge lies in overcoming dentistry's resistance to change. Patience and persistence will be key as Dandy reshapes how dental professionals run their practices.
