Who you are
- You are a strong people manager, passionate about designing and scaling a successful Sales organization to support our extensive growth and meet the changing needs of our customers
- You’re an expert of East Coast Go-To-Market with experience collaborating with Marketing, Partnerships, Outbound etc
- Previous experience successfully leading and scaling a B2B SaaS Sales team in the West Coast
- A previous experience in consultancy or as an analyst is a plus
- Demonstrable and impressive track record of growing revenue/ARR through strategic B2B SaaS sales in North America
- Significant experience in the SMB and Mid Market worlds
- Expert on the East Coast of North American market and leverage your existing network
- Substantial commercial experience working in diverse, sales leadership roles, driving and implementing sales strategy and revenue growth
- Experience working with Channel and technology partners is a plus
- Proven experience in utilizing an inspirational and hands-on leadership style to drive a high-performing sales culture
- Strong analytical skills and capacity to challenge other departments (marketing, partnership, success) with empowered data
- Results driven, Team player with a work hard play hard mentality, ability to use own initiative, self-prioritize - and a good sense of humor is always appreciated :)
What the job involves
- Aircall is seeking a Sales Director to lead our fantastic North America East Coast Sales Team and make an impact in North America
- This role includes the direct management of Strategic AEs on one side and Velocity AEs (with an existing Velocity AE Team Manager in place). You will report directly to our Global VP Sales and will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of Aircall for the East Coast of North America
- Lead and accelerate North America East Coast sales growth by forecasting, planning and executing business strategies aligned with our growth
- Strategic leadership - work closely with our senior leadership team to translate our company vision and strategy in your market
- Work efficiently with other department teams - such as Marketing, Success, Partnerships, Product, Tech - to select, evaluate, and approve opportunities for growth in the North American market
- Drive organizational change & scale of our organization through forecast report on key metricsPeople leadership to build a world-class sales organization for North America East Coast: lead and organize the Sales Teams, optimize the use of resources, time, budget
- Consider Employee Engagement a priority
- Create an environment conducive for the Aircall culture to flourish
- Developing a thorough understanding of the Aircall product, market and industry, as well as competitors
Our take
Call centres have been a mainstay of sales teams for decades, with the human touch delivering an impression conversion rate of about 30% for inbound calls. However analogue call centres are physical infrastructure-heavy and unable to take advantage of the flexibility afforded by remote and hybrid ways of work. Aircall exists to change that, providing a cloud-based call centre infrastructure that allows sales teams to work from their home offices.
Aircall isn't the only company in this space, and it faces heavy competition from Cloudtalk, another cloud-based call centre solution. However Aircall stands out in the market by its use of open APIs and webhooks, making integration with existing productivity and helpdesk tools much easier, and its superior call quality. Aircall has developed a significant customer base with these strengths, with over 15,000 companies using its platform.
The company has raised significant funding in recent years, highlighting the confidence investors have in their offering. With a rapidly expanding presence in the US, European, UK and Australian markets and recent refresher leadership hires, Aircall could soon be a widely recognised international player in the telephone software industry.
