Role
Who you are
- You are comfortable using Python as a programming language
- You know how to build data intensive reactive processing pipelines and know how to scale these
- You have created microservices in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- You have knowledge about Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform or Azure DevOps
- You have experience operating and maintaining a system and evolve it over time
- You have strong analytic skills and a transparent and collaborative communication style
Desirable
- You already obtained experience working with IoT Data / Telemetry
- You have worked extensively with data infrastructure
- You have worked with graph databases or knowledge graphs
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior (Data) Platform Engineer (f/m/d) who will help the team in defining and implementing a self-serve data platform for various domains
- You will be involved in building tools and infrastructure to:
- Ingest data (event driven, synchronous) for different use cases, like IoT, Smart Factory or Building Systems
- Define data processing pipelines
- Manage and deploy Knowledge Graphs
- Have built in data governance and security requirements into the platform, so users don’t have to think about it
- Manage infrastructure that is needed to work with data use cases with Infrastructure as Code

Also, its buildings are built to be sustainable by design, making them an attractive option in a sector that has been slow to decarbonise. All this makes Gropyus a company to keep an eye on, as it invests a hefty loan from the European Investment Bank into further product development.
