Backend Engineer, Stripe

• 5+ years of experience in backend development or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in languages such as Go and experience developing RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and data management practices
• Experience with site reliability engineering and performance optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset for working across teams

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend systems for the core access management infrastructure that supports Stripe’s global workforce
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate access and governance workflows, ensuring a frictionless user experience while upholding security standards
• Develop and refine a data model that abstracts complexity, enabling fine-grained access control and intuitive configuration management
• Participate in end-to-end ownership of solutions, engaging with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and processes to enhance team collaboration and efficiency
