Who you are
- Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and is motivated to roll up their sleeves and help out within the operations team
- 4+ years in a fast paced business environment (e.g., management consulting, tech industry role in sales strategy, rev ops, or business ops)
- Start up experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
- Ability to execute and skillfully juggle multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines
- Systems thinking by accurately defining the problem and scope and applying creative solutions using process and technology
- Great communicator with the ability to understand complex concepts and speak to them concisely and effectively
- Quantitative skillset. SQL experience a plus
- Highly adept at presentation skills - both verbal and written
What the job involves
- ClickHouse is actively seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our rapidly expanding team
- In this critical role, you will become an integral part of our organization, collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the company overseeing day-to-day processes, systems, and workflows to keep the company running efficiently and effectively
- You are a builder at heart and are excited to nurture and incubate emerging functions and business areas until they're ready to operate independently under their respective management chains or remain under your scope of responsibility for the longer term
- Own end-to-end execution of company-wide initiatives, including all-hands meetings and offsites
- Lead board meeting preparation: craft presentations, consolidate reporting, and ensure executive alignment
- Create dashboards and insights that drive data-informed decision-making
- Manage complex cross-functional projects such as legal entity setup, new product/SKU launches, and market expansions
- Support M&A activity through integration planning, and post-close execution
- Oversee day-to-day operational logistics, including mail distribution, vendor procurement, and contract management
- Partner with real estate providers to source, negotiate, and operationalize office space for a growing team
- Manage company swag production, fulfillment, and distribution to reinforce culture and brand
- Maintain and scale the internal company knowledge base (Wiki) to ensure information is accessible and up to date

Database management systems have long been important to the operations of businesses. However, these systems can be painfully slow. ClickHouse solves this problem with its ultra-fast database management system, that powers real-time analytics and apps.
ClickHouse's founding team hail from companies including Yahoo!, Netflix, Salesforce and Google. This has not only lent the company an impressive amount of credibility, but has also allowed it to identify the needs and challenges of enterprises when it comes to their databases. Its system works between 100 and 1,000 times faster than traditional options, and has led to the company being trusted by the likes of eBay, Uber and Spotify.
Valued at $1 billion back in 2021, it is clear that ClickHouse holds a strong position in the market, though it does face competition from rivals such as StarTree and Imply. It has seen substantial funding, the most recent of which is cited to help expand its product and engineering teams. In 2022, the company also launched ClickHouse Cloud - a fully managed, SOC 2 Type 2-compliant cloud-hosted version of its database that is now available in the AWS Marketplace.
