- Degree from a 4 year institution or above; experience in healthcare technology or strategy is a strong plus
- Ability to travel as business needs require (~10%)
What the job involves
- Hopscotch Primary Care is looking for a passionate and inquisitive Manager of Product Management
- The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of our unique role in the healthcare ecosystem, our product vision and the value we deliver to our customers and users
- Track key trends in value-based care in the US, current news, or major market changes
- Build relationships with users, customers and stakeholders to stay aligned and get feedback
- Own customer/user research to identify pain points, gather feedback, iterate on designs and assess progress of pilots or releases
- Partner with operations and clinical stakeholders to understand user workflows to best identify opportunities for tech-enablement
- Define product, operational and pilot success metrics in partnership with analytics and stakeholders
- Spend the time to fully understand the problem building out problem statements, developing success criteria, setting KPIs and vetting potential solutions
- Collaborate with population health teams, clinical leaders, clinic staff and executive leadership to refine business needs into deliverable product roadmaps
- Communicate complex concepts, both written and verbal, to a wide audience of stakeholders
- Prioritize work based on user needs, business value, and effort
- Effectively communicate priorities within the technology team, with stakeholders and executive leadership to provide visibility, gather feedback and stay aligned
- Work closely with engineers to solve problems and explore new product opportunities
Our take
Hopscotch Health is a MedTech startup setting its sights on addressing the healthcare needs of rural communities. Alarming statistics from the CDC highlight that individuals in these regions face a significantly higher risk of succumbing to heart disease, cancer, unintentional injury, chronic lower respiratory disease, and strokes.
While the concept of value-based healthcare, a model where healthcare providers are compensated based on patient health outcomes rather than sheer sales and services, is gaining traction and efficacy in urban areas, rural communities continue to lag behind, mirroring the disparities seen in traditional healthcare frameworks.
Despite being in early development, Hopscotch Health's trajectory largely hinges on its ability to establish valuable partnerships with payers, healthcare providers, practitioners, and the communities themselves. Nevertheless, there is ample room for optimism, given the substantial potential within an underserved market.
