Senior Accountant, CHAOS Industries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with a blend of public and private experience at a start-up/high-growth technology company
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP Systems (i.e. Netsuite)
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment

• The Senior Accountant will play an integral role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
• You will be a key contributor to month-end close, account reconciliations, audit, and high impact ad-hoc projects as needed
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, T&E processing, timely vendor payments, accurate coding, and adherence to company controls and policies
• Support month-end and quarter-end close process and activities including journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset capitalization, prepaid amortization, and preparation of supporting schedules
• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including intercompany transactions, trial balance review, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Purchasing, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational alignment
• Support annual audit initiatives by preparing and delivering timely, accurate documentation to external auditors
• Drive increased efficiency by identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing new workflows, automation, and systems to streamline operations
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and support special projects as needed
