Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a graphic/visual communication designer at an agency, firm, or in-house studio or team
- A strong portfolio showcasing examples of branding and marketing design, demonstrating a solid knowledge of consumer-focused design principles
- Concrete ability to single-handedly conceptualize and think critically about design
- Relentless attention to detail and enthusiasm for brand stewardship
- Expert project management abilities, including experience in directing freelance or contractors
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with other teams and outside agencies
- Collaborative approach and an openness to feedback from peers and partners
- Proficiency with Figma, the Adobe Suite, and other design tools of your choice
- Illustration and web development skills are a huge bonus
What the job involves
- You’ll be an integral part of the marketing team while working closely with design, product and engineering
- You will develop original concepts; own and execute beautiful solutions for complex design problems across multiple channels
- Your input will have a direct impact on our customer experience and the success of Kiddom
- Ensure the consistent application of the company's visual identity, adhering to brand guidelines in all design work
- Participate in defining and evolving the brand's visual identity to keep it fresh and relevant in partnership with our Head of Design and Director of Marketing
- Design and maintain the company website, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing online presence
- Optimize the site for conversions and user experience
- Create landing pages and microsites for various marketing campaigns
- Develop a wide range of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, and more
- Design eye-catching materials that maintain brand consistency and align with marketing goals
- Create digital assets for email marketing campaigns and social media promotions
- Work closely with the marketing team to translate marketing strategies and messages into captivating visuals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with product launches and promotions
- Support content design for Kiddom curriculum
- Stay up-to-date with design trends and digital marketing best practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table
Our take
Digital education has become an increasing reality in recent years. Whilst services such as Zoom have provided platforms for remote teaching, the minimal functionality of such services has outlined the lack of digital engagement tools that classrooms require.
Kiddom develops a collaborative learning platform for K-12 schooling, with integrated solutions for remote teaching, in-person school and homework assignments. The platform allows teachers to assign tasks and to collaborate with students on them, whilst the software gathers data to provide insights on student engagement and performance.
The startup currently provides its services to individual teachers for free, but solutions for inter-institutional curriculums come at an annual subscription fee. Kiddom’s approach aims to fill the gap between remote and in-school teaching, at the same time as integrating student analytics to optimize and personalize the way students are educated.
