Role
Who you are
- 1-2+ years of experience in an HR environment
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain all departmental and personal information confidential at all times
- Able to work On-Site 5 days per week
- Spanish required
What the job involves
- Manage the paperwork for employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding in our regional warehouse
- Coordinate and manage any necessary scheduling for the HR department. This is to include but is not limited to: Update and maintain directly hired warehouse associate’s daily work schedules, Manage scheduling with the staffing agencies
- Review timecards daily for both active and Temporary (staffing agency) personnel for any missing information that needs verification and approval: Missing punches, Obtain any exception forms and associate’s signatures on those necessary to approve timecards: lunch meal waiver
- Create name badges for new hires on their start date and for personnel changes as needed
- Responsible for coordinating events and employee recognition initiatives
- Answer and assist field offices with general HR questions and requests
- Assist with training and ad hoc HR reports
- Support HR and OPS team wherever needed in both warehouse and admin tasks
- Assist with national HR projects such as implementing a new HR system, ensuring compliance with state labor laws, overseeing staffing agencies across multiple sites, and contributing to compensation-related projects
- Support with Compliance including: annual audits, Shpt and cyber security training, new hire audits, performance reviews, and engagement surveys

It's often hard to find foreign or imported food ingredients in the United States. Weee is an online delivery platform aiming to address this by offering groceries and products for Asian Americans and underserved communities across North America. CEO Larry Lui founded the company after having difficulty finding Chinese ingredients in local stores when he moved to the U.S.
Since its launch in 2015, Weee caters to approximately 300,000 households in the U.S and fulfils thousands of orders a day. Originally targeting Asian consumers, the company now brands itself as an “ethnic e-grocer” in a move to attract the United States' 60 million Hispanic consumers as well. This diversification is in response to growing competition in the Asian grocery space from the likes of e-grocers Chowbus and Umamicart and retail chains H Mart and 99 Ranch Market.
The ethnic grocery market is expected to reach more than $460 billion by 2030. Weee plan to grow into this market by launching its service in over 30 additional North American cities over the next three years, expanding into the Canadian market as well. Further, 2022 funding will be used to tap into new cultural cuisines and scale development in AI and warehouse automation.
