Who you are
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

What the job involves
- Design multi-layered applications that encompass user interfaces, intricate web services, streamlined database access, and efficient data pipelines
- Design robust, scalable systems capable of handling vast amounts of data
- Gather and analyze requirements from project stakeholders
- Perform data analysis on Zeta, the data analysis engine in eBay
- Design software architecture and modules based on the requirements
- Write, optimize, and debug the code
- Test the software internally before release
- Release the feature to production environment using Altus, eBay’s internal release management tool
- Document the entire process and updates for future reference
- Set up the testing environment
- Run automated tests using Spring Boot testing
- Analyze the results and identify bugs or areas of improvement by code coverage
- Rectify any potential issues
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand the intricacies of their models and tools, and how to integrate them seamlessly into software applications
- Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance
- 40 hours per week
