Who you are
- 2-5 years experience in product management or related field
- Strong technical background, either from academic, engineering, or hands-on product development experience
- SQL familiarity and expertise with Periscope, Looker or a similar BI tool preferred, not required
- Ability to effectively communicate with dispersed teams
- Strong project management experience, preference within software development and agile processes
- Previous experience with externally customer-facing roles strongly desired
- Passion and excitement for helping consumers and understanding their needs
- Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers, explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide clear status updates
- A talent for the articulation of customer problems
- Whatever-it-takes approach to ensure that your product and team are successful
- Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
- Experience owning a project from conception to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution
- Bonus points for experience with APIs, or multifamily software
What the job involves
- Funnel Leasing Inc., is hiring for an Associate Product Manager that can 'work from anywhere' in the U.S. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the work of the Product Department in the development and support of current and future products at Funnel
- This role assists in conducting market research, gathering quantitative product data, and analyzing customer research to help Product Managers work more efficiently and effectively
- A strong APM will have a product vision – identify improvements for current products and be a visionary for future, non-existent innovative products of the future renter experience. This position will report directly to the Group Product Manager
- Understand and map customer needs into attainable product deliverables and requirements
- Uncover data insights to form hypotheses, design product experiments, evaluate results, and make recommendations
- Perform strategic and ad-hoc analysis
- Translate highly technical, complex concepts into communication (written and verbal) to less technical stakeholders
- Develop new analytical reporting and maintain current reports using technical expertise working with complex data models, resulting in meaningful visualizations to measure the performance of our products
- Participate in the creation and roadmap development of new products and features
- Prioritize feature requests based on market and customer requirements
- Track progress of product development from creation, to deployment, through enhancement, to retirement
- Consult with cross-collaborative teams to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the progress of your product throughout the feature life cycle
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Foster collaboration within the team and across the company
- Perform other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion
- Travel <5% of the time

The rental market is booming. At the same time, it is becoming more competitive and hard to navigate for both renters and leasing agents. Funnel’s B2B solution allows users to tap into the market as a whole, rather than having to compete against other rental platforms.
The company builds solutions for property management teams to help them better reach and communicate with customers, and ultimately close leases with more efficiency. Funnel actually began by helping landlords manage their rental portfolio, but its 2020 rebrand from Nestio saw it alter its tech offering to address the entire leasing chain instead.
Having secured promising funds, Funnel continues to grow its reach at enterprise and mid-market level across the US - smartly targeting these huge yet underserved sectors of the rental industry. It continues to add new features and integrations to keep its value sharp, reaching for further success in the future.
