Role
Who you are
- Proven track record leading product at scale (Director/Head/VP) in top-tier payments or fintech companies (e.g., Stripe, Square, Adyen, PayPal)
- Deep domain expertise in payments (acquiring and issuing required); strong grasp of the full ecosystem including onboarding/KYC/AML, billing/settlements, fraud/risk, and remittances
- Execution-focused operator who thrives in complexity and brings clarity to fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Credible leader with “been there, done that” experience, able to command respect and inspire senior PMs and engineers
- Experience scaling API-based platforms or embeddable services; hardware/payments device experience is a plus
- International payments and FBO bank/processor integration experience is a plus
- Startup or venture-backed DNA with an entrepreneurial mindset, ambitious, comfortable with resource constraints
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

- You’ll lead product strategy and execution across acquiring, issuing, and platform services, owning delivery end-to-end
- As a key member of the executive team, you’ll inspire, mentor, and hold the bar high for a growing product organization while rolling up your sleeves to ensure we hit goals in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Own product strategy and execution across acquiring, issuing, merchant onboarding/KYC/AML, settlements, fraud/risk, and platform services
- Deliver results: drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch, fast, reliable, and always focused on outcomes
- Scale and mentor a high-performing product team, setting a culture of ownership, accountability, and customer-centricity
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, risk, and business teams to build resilient, high-performance payments systems (processing, directory services, messaging, fraud prevention)
- Represent product externally with banks, processors, vendors, and internally with the board and executive team
- Balance today and tomorrow: prioritize reliability and scalability while laying the groundwork for innovation

Our take
Though often overlooked as a necessity and functional aspect of doing business, Payabli is a software company that actually elevates what payments are capable of bringing to a company. Payabli’s platform aims to make payments not just a function that employees don’t think twice about, but something that can enhance their customers' experiences.
With an increasing number of companies migrating from legacy payment software to vertical SaaS (operationally specific) providers, Payabli is carving out a niche in the competitive space through simultaneous payout automation, stack optimisation, and customer payment services all on one platform.
Payabli’s focus on high-growth SaaS companies as its customers could be a slight gamble, given the turbulence in the sector, possibly leading to problems with customer retention. Payabli has not had any trouble so far, though, having tripled its growth in 2022 and benefitting from two rounds of funding within one year. It received further funding in 2025 and plans to use it to develop its products, particularly AI-driven personalisation experiences for customers.
