Role
Who you are
- Proven track record of brand ownership/brand stewardship in an organisation, having defined, grown and nurtured brands
- Well-versed in fostering a brand voice and tailoring its implementation to different audience categories
- Strong team/programme management and incentivisation/ persuasion skills - plus ability to work effectively with multiple internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage a varied portfolio of work and ensure multiple tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Experience managing teams of mixed seniority with different skill sets or across different disciplines
- Experience of managing or working across different time zones would be advantageous
- Experience of working with higher education brands, or an understanding of the student audience and student marketing and admissions sector
- Analytical, data led and target-driven with an understanding of how data and insight can be used to inform content and brand strategy
- Well organised with the ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently and manage competing deadlines and priorities, working with multiple stakeholders across a wide range of projects
- Industry experience is advantageous, with experience of HE student recruitment and marketing, with an understanding of universities brands and/or, students decision making factors
- Creative with outstanding communication skills and an eye for design
- Exceptional eye for detail with strong attention to ensuring high quality and high standards across all outputs
- Good understanding of the student journey and how this relates to BridgeU
- Experience and knowledge of the needs of either universities in the UK and US or international students and how this impacts on content and brand
- Excellent analytical skills to discover potential issues, opportunities and to iterate improvements
- Ability to dive in and find answers to questions that may not yet be documented
What the job involves
- Reporting to and working closely with the VP Marketing, the Senior Brand and Content Manager will be responsible for overseeing and developing the company's brand and content strategies as well as having responsibility for how our partner university brands are presented to our student audience
- This exciting role will project manage and oversee the creation of all BridgeU’s externally facing marketing, content and design assets across all major audiences of students, schools and counsellors and universities
- This will include managing a talented global team of content creators, writers and design specialists
- As the overseer of the BridgeU brand, the post holder will play a leading role to define, develop and promote a consistent brand identity and to ensure the brand guidelines are correctly implemented, monitoring, maintaining and developing the brand in line with the needs of the business and our audiences
- The post holder will create targeted and relevant content for a variety of audiences, including students, international schools and their career and guidance counsellors, as well as universities in the UK and US
- As the owner of the content and design calendars the post holder will implement new ways of working to ensure delivery for multiple internal and external audiences
- Growing BridgeU’s brand presence and audience engagement to enhance our reach, authority and profile
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of the brand’s visual identity including brand guidelines. Ensure all brand assets reflect the desired image and values of BridgeU
- Ownership of the editorial calendar, developing content topic strategies, generating and compiling data reports, long-form editorial pieces, sales collateral and email and social media content across multiple audiences and channels
- Taking briefs on behalf of our partner universities and translating these to create impactful and engaging content in line with the partners brand and reputational guidelines
- Conducting brand audits and understand brand health metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the brand strategies
- Leading the strategy and delivery of content marketing and brand plans from campaign concept to final analysis
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of timely, relevant and engaging content that feeds the schools, universities and student engagement teams
- Creating messaging that aligns to brand pillars that inform and delight multiple audiences
- Developing a suite of segmented and templated collateral in line with internal needs
- Managing the design, content and brand budgets
- Managing a team of content creators
- Conducting market research and analysis to better understand BridgeU’s position in the market, perceptions of the brand and the needs of our core customer segments
- Understand and effectively communicating BridgeU’s vision, mission and unique selling points
- Measuring, analysing and evaluating the impact of content and brand plans, reporting findings and recommendations to the VP Marketing
- Continually looking to understand the impact of our content and to educate people both internally and externally, sharing best practice
