Who you are
- If you are someone who likes the testing of complex systems composed of firmware, software and hardware, this role is for you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Desirable
- Experience with SITL and HITL testing methodologies
- Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
- Willingness to travel to outdoor and/or remote test locations as required
What the job involves
- The Imaging team is responsible for tackling the most difficult problems involving computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data
- The team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems across both hardware and software
- Their products are deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies
- We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Lexington, MA
- In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive manual software testing, ensuring product quality and reliability
- You will debug complex issues, perform in depth testing, and maintain meticulous test documentation to streamline our QA processes
- This will require programming in Python and Selenium
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software & firmware products
- Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects
- Collaborate with developers to debug issues and verify fixes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies
Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a Series E funding round in 2022 led by Valor Equity Partners. This funding was used for research and development of its autonomous defense products, such as the Roadrunner, a modular twin-jet powered autonomous vehicle that can take off and land vertically. Variants of the Roadrunner include defensive warhead armed interceptors which are the first drone weapons that can be retrieved after deployment. The company has also expanded to Australia where it is working in tandem with the Australian Defence Force to improve its military technology and infrastructure and is recruiting talent worldwide to support its rapidly growing portfolio of defense projects.
