- 7+ years of media sales experience
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Experience building sales narratives/decks

- Our solutions on Amazon.com and services including Prime Video, Twitch, Alexa, Amazon Music, and partnerships with third-party publishers and exchanges make Amazon Ads a priority partner to reach the right audiences in the right places, both on and off Amazon
- As a Sr. Account Executive on the Hardlines Enterprise team you will partner with peer Account Executives and use your experience selling digital advertising solutions to a single Fortune 100 brand and their ad agencies to successfully grow the advertiser’s US revenue
- With your broad and long-standing client-side and agency relationships within the digital media world), consultative approach and deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, you will act as a strategic partner to your assigned advertiser and position a broad range of advertising solutions that will ensure that their business goals are met
- You will further use your relationship building, networking, and strong communication skills to identify, develop and scale new business opportunities
- Partnering with internal, cross-functional teams successfully to deliver results for your advertising customers is required
- Make strategic recommendations on Amazon Ads solutions, tailored to client marketing intiatives
- Deliver the highest level of sales and customer service to our clients to retain and grow revenue
- Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships cross the advertiser’s lines of business, including driving new deals to closure
- Utilize Sales CRM tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve quarterly quota goals
- We lead with customer obsession, laser focused on growing our clients business while growing as individuals ourselves
- We thrive in a collaborative environment, working harmoniously across multiple partner teams to deliver for our customers

Our take
Amazon is the world's largest online retailer, and is well-known for its disruption of well-established industries. The company is present in numerous verticals, including cloud computing with Amazon Web Services, AI with its range of Alexa devices and a global marketplace more commonly referred to as 'the everything store'. Acquisitions include Ring, Twitch, Whole Foods Market, and IMDb.
More recently, Amazon has been focused on leading the "third wave in digital advertising". Many businesses are now shifting ad dollars to retailers, which before would have been spent with online media platforms. Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.
Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
