Who you are

Over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications with Python
A strong understanding of modular design approaches and SOLID principles, particularly in distributed systems
Hands-on experience with building scalable and maintainable APIs and message-queuing concepts
Proficiency in various test strategies, ensuring robust and reliable software solutions
Solid understanding of fundamental relational database concepts
Familiarity with structured logging systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and motivate technical ideas to both engineers and non-engineers

What the job involves

In order to take our product to the next level, we're seeking an experienced team member to join our Biometric Solutions team as a Senior Software Engineer
As a part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our real-time Verification Platform, focusing on critical aspects like security, scalability, and maintainability
Your role is crucial in designing and developing new systems that support Veriff's vision to build trust online through a reliable and user-friendly Identity Verification Platform
Taking charge of the design, documentation, and validation processes for product and system development, ensuring top-notch quality and innovation
Building, testing, and maintaining our automation services using Python, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our platform
Working closely with a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, both within and outside the team, to tackle complex challenges and drive forward our vision for identity verification
Owning and nurturing cross-functional partnerships, including working with dependency engineering teams and product stakeholders, to align goals and strategies
Mentoring and guiding the team, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills and aligned with our mission

Our take

Veriff started when the founder tried to access one of the worlds largest online marketplaces underage. He realised that, with some slight photo editing, he could easily break through their verification process. The company believes that identity is a valuable asset, and delivers real safety, protection and transparency to interactions online.

Veriff combines technical advancements in facial recognition, social ID, device ID and more into a SaaS model, that is easy to use and accessible to companies of all sizes. The service includes features such as real-time identity document verification, automated "Proof of Address" processes, and automated SSN Verification.

Veriff has continued to add to its offerings with new technologies and improvements. The considerable funds raised by the company in 2022 fuelled continued research and development, as well as enabling it to hire more talent into its team. Partnerships with the likes of SonoSuite, a digital tech provider for the music industry, indicate Veriff's continued expansion of its products into new markets.
