Who you are
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills a requirement with a Master degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or Business
- 5+ years of professional experience in a product management role
- Prior experience in working with Game and/or Marketing teams or building DS solutions
- Demonstrated experience with prioritizing projects, collecting requirements, crafting product specifications, carrying features from conceptualization to deployment
- Good knowledge of agile software development methodologies and software development life cycle
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating across global teams in different organizations
- Experience with metrics-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy
- A track record for high performance and team/project leadership
- Hard-working, performance-driven self-starter and team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What the job involves
- We're searching for a Senior Product Manager on our Analytics team who can help drive the team’s product vision and strategy
- This Product Manager will work closely with Zynga’s internal teams to understand their technological needs as they build out engaging experiences for our new and existing player base
- Projects will range from development of automation tools, data pipelines, and ML models empowering users to effectively and efficiently meet their business goals
- Establish the product vision and strategy that will help improve operations and performance across our business
- Partner with executive, game, marketing, and Analytics teams to understand user needs and establish success criteria with clearly measurable objectives and key results to deliver a great end-user experience
- Collaborate with a high-performing group of Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to complete product results and achieve the team’s mission
- Impact end-to-end product lifecycle of features spanning multiple areas
- Evangelize products within global organizations including marketing teams, data scientists, designers and leadership teams
- Collaborate to solve novel problems introduced by the constantly evolving and increasingly challenging gaming ecosystem
- Be or become a guide in data science strategies and technologies including key vendors in the space, pros and cons of opposing approaches, and trade offs involved with different strategies
- Implement exceptional product development and management practices
- Communicate concisely and influence outcomes
- Develop the product roadmap and build alignment on prioritization which drives product execution
- Define and analyze metrics that inform product success & health

Our take
Zynga is a games developer that rode Facebook's platform to success back in the late noughties and early 2010's. It is now one of the biggest casual game producers globally, with a presence across 175 countries and regions and over 80 million monthly active users.
Though the company hit a number of roadblocks after its initial success - such as falling stock prices, and numerous calls it was copying other games - its subsequent resurgence is proof of its staying power. It continues to use social media as a distribution channel, and boasts titles such as FarmVille, Merge Dragons! and Words With Friends.
Future success will lie in the company's continued investment in building viral games that people love. It will also need to attune to the social media waves and keep track of where users can be found, as the landscape has become more mobile. Notable recent activity includes a collaboration with BBC Earth ahead of 2024's Earth day, and grant to develop actionable push notifications that enable gameplay without entering the application.
