Role
Who you are
- Partner with the Founder & Exec Team
- Support on high-priority initiatives: strategy, operations, growth, PR, and key partnerships
- Act as a “force multiplier” — freeing up the Founder’s time to focus on mission-critical activities
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Manage external communications including PR requests
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with investors, partners, and key stakeholders
- Prepare materials for C‑Suite, Board, and investor audiences
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct market, product, and competitive research to shape business strategy
- Build and maintain financial models (under CFO's guidance) and dashboards to monitor performance and inform leadership decisions
- Operational Excellence & Project Management
- Oversee internal ops: Asana task flows, office admin, and basic HR functions
- Manage UpWork hiring - simple and complex gigs to execute tasks
- Identify, lead, and operationalise repeatable processes for scaling key activities, including partnerships
- Execution & Problem Solving
- Jump in wherever needed—solve cross-functional challenges and own projects without a clear owner
- Run around town where needed to execute - with energy and grit
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Founder's Associate to join our rapidly growing team
- This is a high-impact, generalist role working directly with the Founder and leadership team. You will act as their right-hand, managing strategic projects and day-to-day execution to drive growth and operational excellence
- You will have an impact on day one. Our business is scaling by the day. You'll work on ambitious projects, and your learnings will stay with you for whatever else you do in your future career

Our take
Wearable fitness hardware and mobile applications have presented great potential in recent years for people to gamify and track their fitness, with further innovations being provided by smart hardware and computer vision technology. However, whilst this has led to the development of running, cycling, and other smart-home fitness applications, strength training is yet to see such progress.
MAGIC develops smart home gym technology that specializes in strength training, allowing users to receive measurable personalized strength training from home, without the requirement of a human personal trainer. The company achieves this by providing IoT hardware such as smart dumbells containing motion sensors, and a smart mirror that uses computer vision to present the interfacing for training whilst providing body composition analysis.
As well as a unique product, the company is backed by an experienced team of fitness and technology experts. This includes the Head of Physical Training at the Royal Marines, former Olympic athletes and the Gravity jetpack engineers.
