Who you are
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, consulting, and / or private equity / growth equity, and with strategic / operational experience at a high-growth technology company
- Best-in-class excel skills and extensive experience developing insightful quantitative analyses, paired with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment
- Ability to flex between high-level strategic thinking and deep analytical problem solving
- Motivated self-starter with a track record of success and a proven ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks while hitting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and effective cross-functional collaborator
- Charismatic, high-energy personality with the ability to build trust with and influence a diverse set of stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail
- SQL knowledge and experience is strongly preferred
What the job involves
- You will play a major role in supporting the development and execution of various strategic initiatives
- You will use a combination of analytical, operational, and technical skills to evaluate key business problems (scale, efficiency, and quality) while considering multiple different stakeholders
- This role will have high visibility across the executive team and will require you to solve the most complex, interesting challenges of a rapidly-scaling startup
- Apply a data-driven analytical approach to evaluating priorities and initiatives across all workstreams
- Evaluate key business problems / strategic initiatives and work with various stakeholders to turn recommendations into a reality
- Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, & Finance teams to improve growth and efficiency of the business
- Partner with Go-to-Market team leaders to deepen relationship with clients and identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities

Ethos was founded to increase the transparency of life insurance, making it accessible and affordable to all. The company wants to add openness to the process; losing a loved one is hard enough before one even considers financial implications, particularly with the loss of a primary earner.
Ethos uses predictive technology to rapidly quote life insurance rates and verify an applicant’s medical information. This expedited process allows most users to secure life cover on the same day they apply, a process which normally takes a number of weeks. The company works with some of the biggest providers in the industry, including Legal & General America, AAA Life and Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.
Ethos has been one of the more heavily publicized of the recent wave of insurtech companies, with investors such as Google as well as celebrities Will Smith and Jay Z, taking its valuation to over $2B and putting it in a great spot for future growth.
