Who you are
- 2–3 years of recruiting or sourcing experience at a top startup, early-stage tech company, or top agency
- Experience hiring for technical roles (e.g., software engineering); experience hiring across multiple functions is a plus
- The ability to balance competing priorities and take on operational projects to support the broader talent function as needed
- Strong communication skills and a track record of building strong partnerships with hiring teams and key stakeholders
- Passionate about creating a great candidate experience
What the job involves
- Arena is looking for an ambitious and driven Technical Recruiter to help us scale our team
- As our second recruiter, you’ll play a key role in scaling the recruiting function from the ground up
- You’ll work closely with founders, engineers, and business leaders to find, engage, and hire exceptional talent across technical and non-technical roles
- This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a dynamic, rapidly growing AI company
- You’ll help define how we hire, what great looks like, and how we build a world-class team—while growing your own career in the process
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles (e.g., software engineering, machine learning, hardware) and other high-priority roles across the company
- Partner directly with leadership to deeply understand hiring needs and define best-in-class recruiting strategies
- Source and engage top talent through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Arena’s culture and values
- Take on cross-functional projects to operationalize and optimize recruiting as a core function
Our take
Arena leverages performance data, predictive algorithms, and machine learning technology to help businesses automate high frequency decisions. In theory, the platform can be used to automate marketing strategies, promotions, inventory and supply chain management, pricing, and more.
Although AI automated decision-making may sound overly ambitious at first, a closer look suggests that it’s actually a natural progression from the huge growth of AI-powered data analytics companies. Arena separates itself from these by providing the next actionable step, rather than leaving these decisions up to internal teams.
Since launching in 2020, the company has moved from early promise into a more established growth phase. Its technology is now used by major global businesses, including Anheuser-Busch InBev, showing that automated decision-making is becoming a practical reality. Rather than being defines by a single fundraiser, Arena's progress today is about continued execution, expanding use cases, improving its models, and embedding deeper into enterprise workflows as demand for real-time, automated decisions continues to grow.
