Who you are
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in new business sales, demonstrating a track record of success in selling to enterprise-level organizations

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an Account Executive, Enterprise who will be responsible for generating new business pipeline and expansion and closing new customers in the Enterprise segment (Top Accounts in Germany)
- This includes identifying specific projects where Fivetran can add value
- Generate new business qualified opportunities by working with Tech Partners, SI Partners, XDRs, going direct outbound on named accounts in territory
- Actively pitch the value proposition of Fivetran’s Database replication capabilities along with the Fivetran platform at-large
- Manage 90-180 day sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and departments to land in an enterprise organization
- Negotiate responsible deals and manage the procurement process with legal, deal desk, and deal champions
- Develop trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and senior decision makers at large organizations who will evangelize Fivetran throughout their company
- As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran
- This bootcamp, held at one of our designated company locations, requires travel and is a mandatory part of the onboarding process
Our take
After a few slower years since graduating from Y Combinator in 2013, Fivetran has skyrocketed, consistently raising large sums of funding, including an Andreessen Horowitz-backed $565m Series D round in 2021.
Customers are mostly data analysts at companies with inefficient database schema, who suffer from a high risk of project failures. Fivetran offers rapid integration of complex data services into cloud warehouses, tagging onto the trend towards cloud-based data systems.
By developing and continuously improving cloud applications that adapt to changing APIs and data schemas, Fivetran is attracting customers who seek long-term data viability. Fivetran also benefits from being easy to set up and integrate into a client's existing software.
After acquiring HVR, a data integration competitor, and Teleport Data, Fivetran continues to add functionality and customers via acquisition. A round of funding in 2023 paved the way for expansion into European and Asian markets.
