Who you are

A minimum of 8 years' experience in new business sales, demonstrating a track record of success in selling to enterprise-level organizations

What the job involves

We’re looking for an Account Executive, Enterprise who will be responsible for generating new business pipeline and expansion and closing new customers in the Enterprise segment (Top Accounts in Germany)
This includes identifying specific projects where Fivetran can add value
Generate new business qualified opportunities by working with Tech Partners, SI Partners, XDRs, going direct outbound on named accounts in territory
Actively pitch the value proposition of Fivetran’s Database replication capabilities along with the Fivetran platform at-large
Manage 90-180 day sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and departments to land in an enterprise organization
Negotiate responsible deals and manage the procurement process with legal, deal desk, and deal champions
Develop trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and senior decision makers at large organizations who will evangelize Fivetran throughout their company
As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran
This bootcamp, held at one of our designated company locations, requires travel and is a mandatory part of the onboarding process

Our take

After a few slower years since graduating from Y Combinator in 2013, Fivetran has skyrocketed, consistently raising large sums of funding, including an Andreessen Horowitz-backed $565m Series D round in 2021.

Customers are mostly data analysts at companies with inefficient database schema, who suffer from a high risk of project failures. Fivetran offers rapid integration of complex data services into cloud warehouses, tagging onto the trend towards cloud-based data systems.

By developing and continuously improving cloud applications that adapt to changing APIs and data schemas, Fivetran is attracting customers who seek long-term data viability. Fivetran also benefits from being easy to set up and integrate into a client's existing software.

After acquiring HVR, a data integration competitor, and Teleport Data, Fivetran continues to add functionality and customers via acquisition. A round of funding in 2023 paved the way for expansion into European and Asian markets.
