Role
Who you are
- A strong affinity with trumpet's values
- At least 3+ years of experience in finance and operations in a similar size company
- Bachelor's degree or similar qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Proficiency in cloud cost management and optimisation techniques
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
- Experience with financial software and tools, particularly Xero, Stripe, Zapier and ChartMogul, and CRM tools ideally Hubspot
- Familiarity with HR systems, preferably Charlie HR
- Knowledge of security and compliance practices, especially in relation to Vanta
- Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to embrace and leverage AI technologies for increased efficiency

What the job involves
- Managing all financial aspects of the company, including payroll, pensions invoicing, and payments
- Implementing and maintaining financial systems and processes using Xero, Stripe, and other relevant tools
- Collaborating closely with founders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Overseeing operational tasks such as security protocols, systems provisioning, and access management
- Overseeing our billing, invoices and debt management processes
- Generating and analysing financial reports using ChartMogul and other reporting tools
- Continuously assessing and improving operational efficiency across the organisation
- Managing relationships with external financial partners and vendors
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting the company's growth by developing scalable financial and operational processes
- Leveraging AI and automation tools like Zapier to streamline workflows and increase productivity
- Supporting the team and office, with operational tasks, onboarding packs, social event planning, merchandise and supply ordering and other administrative tasks
