Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of product design experience on complex digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, strong UX fundamentals, and high-quality execution
- Experience designing for B2B, SaaS, enterprise, or data-rich platforms
- Proven ability to own design problems independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners
- Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and AI tools for prototyping and research
- Strong written and verbal communication - able to articulate decisions and tradeoffs clearly
- Experience contributing to or owning a design system
- Comfort with data visualization, dashboards, and workflow-driven interfaces
- Familiarity with front-end constraints - you know enough to have a productive technical conversation
- This role requires comfort with ambiguity, the ability to set direction, and the judgment to know when to go deep versus move fast
What the job involves
- Tive is a logistics intelligence platform used by global supply chain teams to track shipments in real time - monitoring location, condition, and exceptions across millions of transit events
- The problems we work on are genuinely hard: complex workflows, dense data, fast-moving operational contexts, and several different user personas who depend on this product to make critical decisions
- We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design across a newly formed team at Tive
- You will have the opportunity to create completely new product experiences and connect them to our existing platform
- This isn't a polish role; it's a systems and craft role
- Designers are embedded directly in product teams - not handed specs, and not handed off finished work
- We share early and often. We expect designers to frame problems, not just solve them
- Design has a real voice in product direction, and that comes with accountability for outcomes
- We value clarity and simplicity over completeness, and iteration over waiting for the perfect solution
- Lead design end-to-end for complex platform areas, from early problem framing through production
- Design for multi-stakeholder workflows, critical reporting use cases, data-heavy surfaces: alerts, timelines, dashboards, automations, and configuration flows
- Drive design decisions using sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes - you’ll use your judgement on whatever fidelity the problem calls for
- Define and lead user research studies to surface insight, validate direction, and build shared understanding with the team
- Partner with your PM to shape problem definitions, scope, and project timelines - not just execute them
- Contribute to and evolve Tive's design system: components, patterns, guidelines, and accessibility standards
- Apply systems thinking to create reusable, scalable patterns across the platform
- Work directly with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, accessible, and production-ready
- Actively participate in UX team design reviews and cross-functional critiques, contributing to levelling up design culture at Tive
Our take
Traditionally, shipment tracking has been complicated, unreliable and expensive. Tive’s platform allows businesses to constantly track and update their supply chain to enable a dynamic and flexible approach to international commerce.
Tive’s system is based around sensors that accompany shipments, allowing real-time product tracking with data uploaded to the cloud. This system allows clients access to location, shipment integrity and climate status, allowing businesses to better understand how their products are shipped.
Tive serves customers across the shipping industry, a huge market that is still on the rise. This has fuelled its expansion, with the company already having clients ranging from consumer packaged goods, logistics, produce, and retail, including Alpine Fresh, Fastly, and Aviagen. $40 million in 2025 Series C funding will help Tive bring even more solutions to its growing customer base.
