Who you are
- Well-suited candidates should be able to demonstrate many of the following:
- Excellent skills in Python, Java, or Go
- Experienced with high-availability operations management, including deployment automation and rollback strategies
- Experienced with building cloud services and distributed systems
- Familiarity with security architecture design and review
- Effective communication of complex technical concepts
- Track record of shipping customer-facing services or products
- Requirement for on-call rotation, which may include weekends
- Bachelors or Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Security or a related field, or equivalent experience
What the job involves
- Our team cares deeply about providing Apple’s customers with the highest standard in security and privacy on our products
- We design and build software that implements security features into the internal Apple systems that can affect the software that is shipped to Apple’s customers
- In addition to writing software, we perform security analysis on these internal systems to assess threats and security risks
- Ultimately, our mission is to protect the security and privacy for our customers’ 1B+ devices
- * Implement an identity-aware access proxy for internal service to service communication
- * Evangelize and drive the adoption of these technologies across the organization
- * Build tools and integrations for 10k developers to easily sign code and code reviews

Since taking over at Apple, Tim Cook has been carefully curating the company's reputation as a champion of consumer privacy, trying to set the company apart from others that monetise their users' data.
The company even went as far as to introduce sweeping privacy changes which made it difficult to tailor ads to Apple’s 1bn+ iPhone users. This rocked the $400bn digital ads market, seriously harming the revenue of its bigger rivals in the lucrative industry and forcing them to rebuild their ad infrastructure.
Despite this, the company has been shaken by supply chain issues and moved a considerable amount of its manufacturing from China to India, and increased its Vietnam presence. This is because of multi-pronged production disruption in China, the second largest customer market for Apple, and triggered an estimated 10% revenue drop in the first quarter of 2023.
