Who you are
- Product-minded engineer with empathy for the member experience
- 2–4 years of professional experience building, testing, debugging, and shipping native iOS apps
- Strong proficiency in Swift and experience with modern iOS architecture and lifecycle management
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and networking best practices
- Knowledge of best-practice architecture and modular design patterns, such as MVVM
- Experience using Git and version control workflows
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Team player who thrives on continuous learning and direct feedback

- The Growth Team at WHOOP is a fast-paced, experimentation-driven group focused on driving user acquisition, activation, and retention
- We take a data-driven approach to everything we do, frequently measuring the performance of our features and iterating based on those results
- As an iOS Engineer II, you will play a key role in building mobile experiences that directly impact member engagement and growth
- You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact features, contribute to the evolution of the iOS architecture, and help scale the WHOOP app to support millions of members worldwide
- Work on a cross-functional team that collaborates with data science, product, and backend engineering
- Develop and maintain native iOS product features in Swift and integrate with RESTful backend services
- Contribute to feature ideation, planning, design, and development
- Document architecture and new features to support long-term maintainability
- Analyze metrics and member feedback to uncover bugs and opportunities to improve app stability and engagement
- Participate in the release pipeline, including app building, signing, testing (e.g., via TestFlight), and App Store submission
- Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitHub to organize and communicate work
