Role
Who you are
- 3+ years in creative strategy or social/performance led marketing within DTC, agency, or in-house environments
- Proven track record of producing high performing Meta/TikTok ads with measurable impact
- Strong understanding of performance creative fundamentals (hook rate, CTR, WtR, CVR, thumb-stopping first frames, iteration loops)
- Ability to independently ideate, script, brief, and oversee creative production end-to-end
- Experience analysing creative performance, identifying insights, and turning data into clear recommendations
- Deep fluency across Meta + TikTok platforms and creative best practices
- Fast, proactive problem-solver who thrives in pace and embraces ownership
- Taste level that’s above average, instinctive understanding of "what works" for DTC food/consumer brands
Desirable
- Comfort being on camera or directing talent to land story beats and performance style content
- Experience working directly with founders at early stage or high-growth brands
- UGC creator network or background briefing external creators
- Working knowledge of editing workflows, content pipelines, and production nuances
- Comfort building testing matrices and experimentation frameworks for rapid creative iteration
- Brand storytelling experience to complement performance instincts
- Leadership or mentoring experience in small creative/growth teams
What the job involves
- Own Simmer’s performance creative strategy across Meta/TikTok, ensuring output aligns directly with commercial growth goals
- Develop concepts, creative angles, storyboards, and scripts for ads, from UGC to high-production formats
- Analyse creative performance daily/weekly and present insights that drive constant optimisation and next-step testing
- Build briefs for creators, studios, and internal shoots; ensure clarity, pace, and strong execution
- Identify cultural signals, platform trends, and audience insights to generate high-impact creative ideas that convert
- Work closely with Growth, Product, and Brand teams to create aligned, unified acquisition campaigns
- Participate in weekly performance reviews, bringing strategic recommendations based on data and creative intuition
- Manage multiple live briefs, prioritising effectively to deliver high-quality creative at speed

Simmer was founded in 2017 when Simmy was fed up of seeing fellow students at university always having to live off bad-quality and expensive ready meals and takeaways. He noticed that there was a gap in the market for convenient, high-quality and delicious food, at a price even students could afford.
After achieving popularity with students, Simmy got his brother Jhai and their mother on board, growing the business with a family-first mindset. Its meals are hand made by a passionate team who are determined to extend the benefits of a healthy diet - on energy levels, mental health, and confidence - to everyone.
Simmer's meals are all highly convenient and quick to prepare, reducing the stress associated with food preparation and freeing up busy people's time. It also combines a healthy nutritional balance (with a particular focus on protein, and varying portion sizes to meet the needs of its clientele) with delicious flavours.
Since its founding, Simmer serves hundreds of people weekly, including reality TV stars and Premier League football winners. Alongside this, it frequently donates food to local homeless charities, furthering its mission of giving people access to a healthy, happy life.
