Who you are
- We are looking for a smart, analytical entrepreneur who loves to solve problems, makes things happen through relentless execution, and puts the team's mission above their own ego
- This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to contributing significantly to Hopp’s expansion in Canada
- You have 6+ years of experience in an Operations Management role with a strong analytical component
- You 3+ years of experience leading a teams and a passion for developing people
- You possess a data-driven analytical mindset and skills, with advanced knowledge in Excel as a requirement
- You demonstrate a highly data-driven, analytical mindset, and you can examine data to optimise your team's activities and identify patterns and trends within the data
- You ideally have experience managing new product launches or market entry processes
- You have excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, with French being a huge plus
- Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity
What the job involves
- This role is at the heart of our strategy, tasked with taking ownership of our business in designated cities
- The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and managing talented individuals to foster a high-performing team
- Moreover, you will drive operational excellence, constantly challenging the status quo by introducing innovative and simplified approaches to enhance our services
- Supporting the General Manager in developing and executing on the long-term strategy of Hopp’s ride-hailing business in Canada, including P&L ownership
- Oversee programs and projects focused on business growth and process enhancements, aiming to deliver outstanding service to users and drivers
- Formulate and execute strategies to improve the value proposition for drivers and riders, increase the supply base, and enhance performance and retention
- Engage in Business Development to identify new revenue opportunities, forge partnerships, and negotiate and structure contracts, including collaborations with driver and vehicle fleets
- Lead and develop a small team to ensure the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and activities
- Advise and closely collaborate with HQ teams such as Product, Legal, Marketing or Finance to develop and execute key initiatives that drive growth and efficiency
Our take
Across Europe, more and more people are choosing flexible, on-demand transport instead of owning a car. And ride-hailing, shared vehicles and new technology like autonomous driving are all part of this shift. So, cities are pushing for safer and more efficient transport, which is encouraging mobility companies to invest in electric vehicles and even driverless solutions which could eventually reshape urban travel.
Bolt has positioned themselves right in the center of this change, with is leading mobility platform that offers ride-hailing services across more than 50 countries. Through its app, Bolt connects users with transport options designed to be affordable and simple.
Recently, the company partnered with Stellantis to explore Level 4 autonomous, driverless vehicles, showing just how far ahead Bolt is looking for its next phase of mobility.
That said, Bolt operates in a very crowded market and urban mobility is highly competitive, with many local and international players all trying to come out on top. Even so, demand for shared and on-demand transport is at an all time high and only growing. Bolt's broad geographic reach, focus on scale and willingness to invest in future technologies puts it in the perfect position to keep growing.
