Who you are
- 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 4+ years leading in fast-growth, startup environments
- A proven track record of building and scaling a recruiting function from scratch

What the job involves
- Coast is seeking a Head of Talent to build and lead our recruiting department. As our talent leader, you'll own the entire talent lifecycle, from strategy to execution.

- Build the strategy: Design and execute a forward-looking talent strategy that aligns directly with our business goals. Define what great looks like, from workforce planning to employer branding
- Recruit top talent: Roll up your sleeves and lead full-cycle recruiting for high-impact roles across the company. Source, interview, and close candidates who raise the bar
- Scale the function: Hire, coach, and inspire a scrappy, ambitious recruiting team that’s obsessed with excellence
- Elevate the experience: Deliver a candidate journey that’s seamless, values-driven, and leaves every applicant wanting to work here even if they don’t get the job
- Partner with leaders: Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and executives, shaping hiring strategies that balance speed with quality
- Bring data to life: Establish clear recruiting metrics, report on progress, and continuously refine processes for efficiency and impact
- Grow our brand: Champion Coast as an employer of choice by amplifying our presence across social media, events, and industry partnerships
- Own the tools: Manage our ATS and recruiting tech stack to keep things smooth, scalable, and data-driven
Our take
In recent years, companies like Ramp, Brex, Divvy, and others have emerged to provide easier ways for companies to allow their employees to pay for job-related expenses through corporate cards. However, none of these services really work for businesses operating automobile fleets - approximately 10% of B2B card spend in the US.
That’s where Coast comes in, offering a modern card issuing expense solution specifically built for fleets. The Coast card meets the demands of fleets-specific controls, security, and visibility, contributing to preventing fraud and unauthorized use. Its platform allows fleet managers to visualize spend, block or flag transactions for review, and set their own rules for card holders.
With back-to-back funding rounds awarded in 2024, Coast has been focused on expanding its team and the platform’s capabilities, offering a wider range of financial products - including parking, maintenance, and other on-the-road expenses on top of just fuel. Its Visa Fleet card program, which enables Coast Visa Fleet cardholders to make payments wherever Visa is accepted, makes it an attractive option in the market as fleet management continues to modernize.
