Role
Who you are
- Experience in manual QA testing (familiarity with regression, exploratory, or acceptance testing).
- Exposure to Agile delivery workflows (e.g. sprint ceremonies, Jira).
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage small but frequent releases.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills to both technically and non-technically minded colleagues.
- Comfort working across both software and hardware (firmware experience is a bonus but not required).
- A willingness to jump in, learn, and adapt in a small-team environment.
Desirable
- Familiarity with automated test frameworks or tools (even if you don’t write tests, being able to run them is useful).
- Experience in release management or coordinating deployments.
- Knowledge of Jira administration or workflow customisation.
- Prior experience in a hybrid QA/project support role.
- Experience using product analytics platforms like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.
What the job involves
- Perform manual regression and feature testing on candidates for production in the QA environment for front and backend applications
- Support writing Acceptance Criteria before build and verify bug fixes and new features before release
- Support automated testing efforts (e.g. run or triage automated test suites, raising issues)
- Collaborate with developers to ensure acceptance criteria and quality standards are met
- Organise and coordinate key ceremonies such as end-of-sprint demos showcasing added value and retrospectives to support the team on continuous improvement
- Manage and track frequent, small releases to production ensuring visibility to key stakeholders around the business
- Track the performance of new releases and features using Mixpanel and other metrics tools, reporting findings to the team
- Liaise with operations and hardware specialists on firmware lifecycle and deployment
- Take structured notes during key meetings and maintain accurate records in Jira
- Assist in managing Jira tickets and epics in line with guidance from team leads, ensuring clear success metrics
- Provide visibility of progress and blockers to the team and leadership
