Applied Data Scientist, Shift5

• Ability to break down unstructured, ambiguous, and complex problems into smaller, manageable parts
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time (US only)
• Fluency in a generic analytics coding language (R, Matlab, Python, SQL)
• Strong data needs analysis skills, including the ability to identify the type of data and technical tests required to validate hypotheses
• Proven ability to articulate the business impact of data analysis and connect findings to specific decision points
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of clearly and efficiently presenting technical information to a non-technical audience
• A humble and receptive attitude toward feedback, and the confidence to admit when you're wrong
