What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance Policy & Oversight to join our dynamic team
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance policies and ensuring effective oversight across our global operations
- This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure that our compliance policies are robust, current, and effectively integrated into our business practices
- Policy Development & Implementation:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies that adhere to local, national, and international regulations
- Ensure policies are aligned with Checkout.com’s business goals and regulatory requirements
- Implement and disseminate compliance policies across the organization
- Oversight & Monitoring:
- Establish and manage processes to monitor compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Establish processes for policy gap analysis and identification of areas for improvement; implement mechanisms for waiver/exception approval and management
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to compliance policies
- Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for compliance policy management and oversight
- Serve as a key advisor to senior management on compliance policy and oversight matters
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess compliance risks related to company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks
- Ensure effective controls are in place to manage compliance risks
- Training & Education:
- Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and their responsibilities
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on compliance policy effectiveness and oversight activities to senior management and the board of directors
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of compliance policies, procedures, and oversight activities
