What the job involves
- As a Sales Development Representative you will be a primary contributor to our quickly growing, high visibility team
- Our SDR team help Yulife to target the best potential clients and educate them on our proposition, opening new sales opportunities for the business
- We have multiple tracks for this role, experience-dependent, from basic small-business-prospecting to the highly complex and project-oriented task of enterprise-business-prospecting
- For the right person, we find the right fit
- SDR-ing isn’t always easy: you have to balance conflicting time priorities, accept a certain degree of strategy, play a quality and quantity game, and adjust to ever-changing market conditions, and always keep an eye on the prize (pipeline generation.)
- But for those with a bit of grit and a passion for helping organisations drive employee wellbeing, it can be a great role
- SDR-ing is a brilliant way to sink one’s teeth into a sales career, and we are a people-first team, passionate about learning, developing, and progressing together
- Cold calling, email prospecting, LinkedIn networking
- Managing strong collaborations with your AE, fellow SDRs, marketing, and revenue operations team
- Building relationships quickly during a pre-sales cycle
- Long-term nurturing warm relationships/leads
- Seeking to understand how our prospect businesses buy and what value they look for when considering learning more about Yulife
- Self-analysing challenges and successes, to constantly optimise your prospecting strategy
- Maintaining accountability for monthly, quarterly and annual meeting generation targets
- Staying hungry to understand and develop their insurance and wellbeing knowledge (paid study time will be provided)

Our take
YuLife wants to change the life insurance landscape, by gamifying health and wellbeing. Working with businesses and their employees, YuLife rewards people for their everyday healthy behaviours, encouraging users to complete activities like walking or meditation then rewarding them with air miles, vouchers, and gift cards from partners.
With over 85% of SMEs having no life insurance for their employees in place, YuLife also wants to streamline the process of purchasing insurance. Through the company, employers can offer membership as a perk. Users can then progress through levels, compete with colleagues and earn yucoin for healthy choices. The currency can be exchanged for rewards such as gym memberships and gift cards.
YuLife has experienced significant success in the UK, and is now seeking to use this momentum to propel itself into global operations, staring with the US market. It continues to launch new features, such as health insurance options, gamified training courses for brokers, and an AI-powered metric that assesses business health and wellbeing.
