Role
Who you are
- 8-10 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported Sales or Tech organizations in a high-growth environment
- Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of US federal and state-specific labor laws and compliance requirements, particularly related to benefits, compensation, and employee relations
- Strong command of core HR domains, including performance management, organizational design, compensation principles, and complex employee relations
- Proficiency with modern HR technology, including hands-on experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever)
- Experience managing or partnering closely with the payroll management function to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build trust, navigate sensitive conversations, and partner effectively with senior leadership
What the job involves
- Act as a strategic partner and coach to US leaders, providing guidance on organizational design, performance management, employee relations, and strategies to build high-performing, engaged teams
- Serve as the primary "on-the-ground" presence for the People team, building trust by conducting regular employee check-ins, actively listening to the team's pulse, and proactively identifying and addressing early warning signs
- Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on US and state-specific labor laws, compliance, benefits, and best practices. PBP would advise local managers and partner with the global People team to ensure 100% compliance and mitigate risk
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed and providing clear guidance on corrective actions
- Drive and execute key People processes across the entire employee lifecycle, from seamless onboarding and integration to talent reviews, compensation cycles, and respectful offboarding. Conduct sessions for Day 1 onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Partner with leaders to facilitate the annual Talent Review process, focusing on succession planning, identifying high-potential employees, and addressing talent gaps
- Analyze trends and metrics to identify training and development needs for US-based teams, partnering with leaders and the global team to deploy effective solutions
- Champion our company culture and values, helping to integrate new hires and ensuring People programs and initiatives are rolled out effectively in the region
- Managing immigration and Visa process with global people partners and immigration agency for employees including those of international transfers
- Partner with leaders and the global compensation team to ensure fair, competitive, and equitable pay practices across the US, providing guidance on market data, internal alignment, and annual compensation reviews

DevRev helps developers build better products for customers through a platform that connects them to the revenue their applications generate. Their headless, dev-centric CRM hopes to help developers clock technical issues faster by showing more directly how customers use their products.
When the company emerged from stealth mode in 2021, they were already well backed by considerable funding and a highly experienced leadership team. Collating and usefully displaying customer feedback for developers, especially using AI and machine learning, is a tough nut to crack. So the DevRev has been savvy in front-loading talent and investment.
The founders’ previous venture Nutanix saw huge success, reaching Unicorn status before going public in 2016. DevRev and its team reached the same in 2024 off the back of Series A funding. This ambitious startup has already delivered the first iteration of what it hopes will become the largest global developer relations product.
