Who you are
- The ideal candidate is motivated by the potential of data to influence product development and drive business growth, adept at translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic narratives. With a strong foundation in data analysis, technical skills, and a keen understanding of the product landscape, you'll be pivotal in guiding our product strategy
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, specifically within consumer internet, mobile, or digital products,
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to drive data-informed decision-making
- Strong ability to influence and lead initiatives without authority, fostering alignment and momentum across teams
- Experience with hardware/devices or subscription-based business models is a plus
- Proficient in SQL, Python/R, and cloud analytics technologies (MySQL, AWS, Presto, Athena, Redshift, Hive, Teradata), with a strong grasp of statistical concepts and data wrangling
- Experience with Big Data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake, along with proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau, Amplitude, Mode, Looker, Jupyter, or Excel
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex product problems, turning insights into actionable strategies through effective stakeholder collaboration
- Excellent at communicating complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven project management abilities and a track record of leading analytics projects that drive business growth
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Lead Analyst to play a critical role in shaping the future of our Life360 ecosystem
- As an integral part of the Analytics team, you will work closely with Product Management, Device Sales and the leadership team to help define our Device short/long term strategy
- Your role will focus on identifying new business opportunities and enhancing organizational value through data analysis, experimental design, and collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Utilizing your skills in analytics and technical proficiency, you will leverage our distinct geolocation, mobile app, hardware and sales data to tackle key questions about business strategies and product effectiveness
- Your mission includes not only daily analytical tasks but also contributing to strategic decisions that shape our product direction
- Leverage data-driven insights to drive Device growth by deeply understanding our products and customers; effectively communicating findings through visualization, presentations, and compelling storytelling to the leadership team
- Design and implement reusable frameworks (e.g., Devices LTV) to support company growth, and profitability goals, ensuring consistency and scalability in analytical approaches
- Champion a culture of experimentation, designing and analyzing A/B tests to uncover growth opportunities, enhance user experience, and improve conversion rates
- Partner with Data Engineering to define technical requirements that enhance data availability, quality, and integrity, supporting analytics and self-service data access across the organization
- Serve as a thought leader in Analytics, contributing to the advancement of Life360’s Data Analytics brand both internally and externally
