What the job involves
- We are excited to be adding a Senior Fullstack Engineer to our senior team
- Proof of Play is committed to building fully on chain games, and the technical tools to power them, in order to facilitate autonomous worlds, ensure game longevity, and create a more immersive player experience
- As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our technology team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our applications
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that align with our business goals and user needs
- Work with React, Typescript; Next.js; CSS/SCSS throughout your development processes
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions for both front-end and back-end components
- Collaborate with designers to create seamless and visually appealing user interfaces
- Utilize a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and libraries for both front-end and back-end development
- Implement best practices for code quality, scalability, and maintainability and strategize how to ensure the teams are following the practices you build
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate third-party APIs and services
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Our take
Proof of Play acts as both a game studio and a blockchain technology company, delivering the tools to build fully on-chain games. Through its suite of tools, it is possible to create decentralized titles in which players own their characters and assets, with an important emphasis on simplifying access so that gamers less versed in the blockchain can still get involved.
Blockchain games are a relatively new idea, and the direction of the market is yet to be established, which should give Proof of Play the opportunity to set its own standards. The first game built through the platform, Pirate Nation, has had a tentatively positive reception, which is promising for a first title.
Bringing together a team of gaming veterans from the likes of Riot Games, EA, and ActiVision, as well as early blockchain adopters, Proof of Play has a solid foundation from which to navigate the developing space. It has raised substantial funds that will be invested in company growth, as well as the further scaling of its technology.
